This was done on a Saturday morning while chatting with DOPR about various things dragony and non.

I seem to have a fascination, at the moment, with comparative sizes – for me, how tall, measurement nose to tail, how others compare to objects of known size, is as important as the trimmings of colour and shape.

An experiment in feral dragon clothing styles. In this case, it’s all about the sweep and sparkle, the movement of fabric and the contrast of silver against dark hide, not so much about covering for warmth or modesty.

Ssthisto – Semi-Aquatic

Ssthisto is, in fact, a semi-aquatic beastie, as at home in fresh water as on land. In many ways, this is where I am most at home – below the surface.

Ahhh, so now we know what it is that Ssthisto’s so interested in… a rather large, somewhat skatelike fish.

Now, this is fresh water – an inland sea. Onissarle wanted me to put an octopus in, but they’re so quintessentially marine that although it would have been fun to draw, it would have made this even more “ocean” than it already is.

Ssthisto’s short, strong wings make for effective paddles, the feet and foreclaws are very slightly webbed, and efficient lungs can take dissolved oxygen from water as well as from air.
